La Unión Fc's Emanuel Rolado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Ondino in the 30th minute of play. Nestor Oinaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edelmiro Curcio in the 34th minute of play. In the 36th minute Jorge Ondino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Rolado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emanuel Rolado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicasio Sal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 38 played minutes La Unión Fc got a freekick which was hit by Roque Llorenc. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Adrio in the 43rd minute of play forced La Unión Fc's goalkeeper Emanuel Rolado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edelmiro Curcio charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edelmiro Curcio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Emanuel Rolado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jorge Ondino's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. Luis Romo hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ladislao Pagomari made a kick off. Javier Txema's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nestor Oinaz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Miguel Dei lost his temper 55 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee gave La Unión Fc a penalty, 56 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Natalio Elorri, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Formosa AFC's Nestor Oinaz. 2-2. When Luis Romo fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Unión Fc's protests and gave Luis Romo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 61st minute, Luis Romo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nestor Oinaz came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by La Unión Fc's Ladislao Pagomari. But to his dismay, Ladislao Pagomari quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. The supporters of La Unión Fc booed when Formosa AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicasio Sal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nicasio Sal got in the 70th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Emanuel Rolado handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Nestor Oinaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edelmiro Curcio in the 77th minute of the match. After 80 minutes, Edelmiro Curcio made it 4-2 with a short kick to the right side. Formosa AFC's Nestor Oinaz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 83 minutes into the match, La Unión Fc's goalkeeper Emanuel Rolado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicasio Sal. Nicasio Sal might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emanuel Rolado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nicasio Sal ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Formosa AFC booed when La Unión Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benito Hondo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emanuel Rolado was a little too slow when Clemente Cilio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 87th minute. The score was now 4-3. Fernan Distiratsu hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Nestor Oinaz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ladislao Pagomari, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. If Edelmiro Curcio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. La Unión Fc's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
