With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yngve Ödman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 35th minute Argentinos Juniors were awarded a corner. Mats Falch went to the cornerflag to take it. Argentinos Juniors's Mats Falch was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Yngve Ödman in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 36thth minute of the game Sven de Zwaan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Deportivo Iguazu's Yngve Ödman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
