An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingo Dimas in the 7th minute of play forced Godoy Cruz's goalkeeper Natalio Ricart to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Natalio Ricart showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Braulio Ekain, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. After 11 minutes, Uriel Vachon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Godoy Cruz and the Olivera FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 11th match minute, Godoy Cruz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Uriel Vachon to maneuver through the defense. Lisandro Oliverio charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lisandro Oliverio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Godoy Cruz's Lisandro Oliverio got a free kick in the 24th minute. 26 minutes into the match, Godoy Cruz's goal looked a bit too open when Constantino Txartiko came free, but Natalio Ricart reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilfredo Niguel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 31st minute Silvestre Poz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natalio Ricart saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Olivera FC's Wilfredo Niguel in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Godoy Cruz's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Olivera FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Domingo Dimas hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 36 minutes, Edgardo Rameriz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Natalio Ricart made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvestre Poz in the 37th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Olivera FC's goalkeeper Edgardo Rameriz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Romulo Guerrero. Romulo Guerrero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Edgardo Rameriz made a huge save.

Wilfredo Niguel's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Natalio Ricart firmly grabbed it by the left post. The referee felt a red card was in order, 56 minutes into the game, when Desiderio Urko put in a rough tackle. 56 minutes into the game, one of Godoy Cruz:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Natalio Ricart made an important save on a dangerous shot by Domingo Dimas in the 61st minute. 62 minutes into the match, Godoy Cruz's goal looked a bit too open when Silvestre Poz came free, but Natalio Ricart reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilfredo Niguel who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Natalio Ricart when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Braulio Ekain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Natalio Ricart having to interfere. Domingo Dimas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Natalio Ricart made a huge save. Fausto Iraunkor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Natalio Ricart was out of position in the 78 minute of play, and Braulio Ekain capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Braulio Ekain really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. After 81 played minutes Godoy Cruz got a freekick which was hit by Uriel Vachon. 82 minutes into the game, Wilfredo Niguel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Natalio Ricart was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Natalio Ricart showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Braulio Ekain in the 85th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the match, Braulio Ekain dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Natalio Ricart, 0-6. Constantino Txartiko hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 98 minutes, Natalio Ricart successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Olivera FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
