Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Fausto Iraunkor took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 3 minutes of play, FC Invensibles's Rolando Santikurtz made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Natalio Ricart was left in no man's land by his defense there! Godoy Cruz's Natalio Ricart proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Godoy Cruz from getting a goal against them. Eusebio Baumar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Iraunkor in the 10th minute of the match. Natalio Ricart made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Martin Crispo sent off a good shot on target. In the 16th minute of the match, Rolando Santikurtz got a very nice opportunity to score, but Natalio Ricart was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 20th minute of the match Desiderio Urko shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eusebio Baumar showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Martin Crispo kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 27th minute, FC Invensibles's Rolando Santikurtz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Natalio Ricart. Natalio Ricart yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. 32 minutes into the game, Domingo Herauso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Invensibles's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Godoy Cruz the free kick. The supporters of Godoy Cruz booed when FC Invensibles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingo Herauso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Natalio Ricart made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Crispo in the 35th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Godoy Cruz's goalkeeper Natalio Ricart had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Martin Crispo. A collision led to FC Invensibles getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Martin Crispo hit a great ball. Fausto Iraunkor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Eusebio Baumar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Godoy Cruz's Natalio Ricart got control of the ball when Rolando Santikurtz tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Godoy Cruz getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Santos Jerico hit a great ball. Rolando Santikurtz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Natalio Ricart. Godoy Cruz's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 48th minute, FC Invensibles's Aquilino Dantel dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Martin Crispo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eusebio Baumar made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Romulo Guerrero sent off a good shot on target. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 65th minute of the game. One of Godoy Cruz:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Invensibles:s goal. In the 67th minute there was a penalty for FC Invensibles. Rolando Santikurtz stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Natalio Ricart. 5-0. In the 72nd minute, Aquilino Dantel made a precise shot to the right of Natalio Ricart. Godoy Cruz's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. If Justino Herrera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in FC Invensibles's zone, Fausto Iraunkor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eusebio Baumar came out of the goal and Fausto Iraunkor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sixto Oroitz in the 83rd minute of play forced Godoy Cruz's goalkeeper Natalio Ricart to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Natalio Ricart didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Martin Crispo went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. FC Invensibles's Martin Crispo got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Natalio Ricart came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Invensibles's Sixto Oroitz. But to his dismay, Sixto Oroitz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Justino Herrera in the 94th minute of play forced Godoy Cruz's goalkeeper Natalio Ricart to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Godoy Cruz's attentive Romulo Guerrero managed to snatch the ball when Rolando Santikurtz made a throw-in in the 98th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Urbano Vermudo during the 98th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 99 played minutes FC Invensibles got a freekick which was hit by Urbano Vermudo. FC Invensibles walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
