After 8 minutes, Aaron Pirmin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the San Lorenzo and the Chucul players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Chucul booed when San Lorenzo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Pirmin didn't get a good kick on the ball. 10 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo's goal looked a bit too open when Romulo Matei came free, but Cirilo Segio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute, Isidro Frantzes made a precise shot to the right of Cirilo Segio. San Lorenzo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. If Atilano Lluc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st minute, Antonio Gonsalvo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Erubiel Matthew. The goal made the score 1-1. In the 25th minute Cristo Gregory shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cirilo Segio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26th minute, Ariel Otoniel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 28 minutes in the game Flavio Rosio got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. San Lorenzo's Cirilo Segio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romulo Matei in the 31st minute of play. After 34 minutes of play, Chucul's Romulo Matei made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cirilo Segio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cristo Gregory fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cirilo Segio having to interfere. In the 41st minute, Adan Barea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Chucul's Adan Barea got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After 45 played minutes, San Lorenzo's Jacinto Romo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Erubiel Matthew came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in San Lorenzo reached it. Blas Cedro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After the first half Chucul were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Antonio Gonsalvo was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Jacinto Romo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Chucul getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Isidro Frantzes hit a great ball. 59 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo's goalkeeper Cirilo Segio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Romulo Matei. Chucul's Erubiel Matthew played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonio Gonsalvo in the 64th minute of play. San Lorenzo's Antonio Gonsalvo got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cecilio Xacintu charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cecilio Xacintu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 71st minute, Cecilio Xacintu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 75th minute, Chucul's Romulo Matei ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cirilo Segio. Cirilo Segio yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Blas Cedro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erubiel Matthew read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Chucul's Romulo Matei got a free kick in the 86th minute. Atilano Lluc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Erubiel Matthew tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Chucul's Cristo Gregory ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cirilo Segio. Cirilo Segio yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. The Chucul players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
