The supporters of Palmas booed when Coghlan FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lisandro Natanael didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Hug in the 40th minute of play forced Coghlan FC's goalkeeper Honorio Cristos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Honorio Cristos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Delmiro Pitin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Palmas's Honorio Frederico got control of the ball when Alejo Lano tried to sneak it across the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfredo Hug made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Delmiro Pitin got free with Honorio Cristos in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alejo Lano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Honorio Frederico having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Palmas's zone, Braulio Loiola stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Honorio Frederico came out of the goal and Braulio Loiola tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jose Jayvier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alejo Lano took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Honorio Frederico. Honorio Frederico dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alejo Lano in the 68th minute of play forced Palmas's goalkeeper Honorio Frederico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alejo Lano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Claudio Naelio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Coghlan FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudio Naelio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Honorio Frederico breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Prudencio Lluis lost his temper 81 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Alejo Lano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 90th minute, Jose Jayvier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Palmas's Adrian Policarpio got a free kick in the 91st minute. In the 93rd minute, Erasmo Millrick ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Honorio Frederico was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. In the 98th minute, Erasmo Kusko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Although Coghlan FC had been in control for most of the match, Palmas still came away with the win.
