The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ceferino Gartzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jesús Heredia in the 7th minute of play. Edward Marchlewicz scored 0-1 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ceferino Gartzi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Edward Marchlewicz struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Ceferino Gartzi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Racing Club FC. Ceferino Gartzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jesús Heredia in the 16th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, la12's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Marchlewicz came free, but Ceferino Gartzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to la12 getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Roque Udalaitz hit a great ball. Jesús Heredia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ceferino Gartzi having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jesús Heredia in the 31st minute of play forced la12's goalkeeper Ceferino Gartzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Racing Club FC's Melchor Peter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elvio Medina in the 33rd minute of play. Ceferino Gartzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Marchlewicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute, Santo Guerrero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lisandro Gabirel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lino Montae came free with the goalkeeper in the 43rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Melchor Peter could save by the left post. Melchor Peter made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lino Montae in the 45th minute. 46 minutes into the match, la12's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Marchlewicz came free, but Ceferino Gartzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elvio Medina to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Elvio Medina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melchor Peter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Melchor Peter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elvio Medina, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. When the match clock showed 57 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Lino Montae sped through Racing Club FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Melchor Peter. Ceferino Gartzi made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Edward Marchlewicz sent off a good shot on target. 62 minutes into the game, Santo Guerrero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. la12's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Racing Club FC the free kick. A very good chance. 65 minutes into the game, Edward Marchlewicz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Ceferino Gartzi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ceferino Gartzi was a little too slow when Edward Marchlewicz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 89th minute. The score was now 1-5. Edward Marchlewicz kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. la12 were furious when Moises Blai was red carded, 95 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 94th minute of the game. One of la12:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Racing Club FC:s goal. Edward Marchlewicz shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal.
