Esperanza Maritima's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Nicasio Pacorro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pablo Toro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34thth minute of the game Pablo Toro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Esperanza Maritima's Nicasio Pacorro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Inter Miami's goalkeeper Enrique Ipar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alvaro Lauaxeta's late challenge caught a Inter Miami's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alvaro Lauaxeta helped the player get up and apologised. In the 41st match minute, Esperanza Maritima was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvaro Lauaxeta to maneuver through the defense. Inter Miami were awarded a corner in the 44th minute after Esperanza Maritima's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Angelo Asteri took the corner.

The wind increased when Ariel Rik made the kick off in the second half. Inter Miami's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valentin Sauveur was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Atilano Distiratsu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alvaro Lauaxeta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Atilano Distiratsu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Enrique Ipar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, Inter Miami's goal looked a bit too open when Romulo Remir came free, but Enrique Ipar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pablo Toro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Nicasio Pacorro made a huge save. Alvaro Lauaxeta was shown his second yellow card after 77 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Esperanza Maritima's Alvaro Lauaxeta got a free kick in the 77th minute. Romulo Remir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Enrique Ipar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Valentin Sauveur fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Inter Miami's protests and gave Valentin Sauveur a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Inter Miami getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Valentin Sauveur hit a great ball. Pablo Toro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicasio Pacorro having to interfere. Nicasio Pacorro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Inter Miami players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
