Elpidio Ursino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ramon Venerando read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Emma's goalkeeper Ramon Venerando had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcelino Gipuzkoa. After a defensive mix-up in Emma's zone, Elpidio Ursino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ramon Venerando came out of the goal and Elpidio Ursino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elpidio Ursino to make the kick off. In the 53rdth minute of the game Arnoldo Francho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Monserrat's Leandro Bidun was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Leandro Bidun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnoldo Francho, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cecilio Gerazan in the 61st minute of play forced Emma's goalkeeper Ramon Venerando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leandro Bidun made an important save on a dangerous shot by Florencio Mergildo in the 62nd minute. The Emma fans' excitement grew in the 88th match minute when Emma's Arnoldo Francho looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 96 minutes into the game, German Benvido was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Monserrat's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Emma the free kick. In the 96th minute, German Benvido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match was over Emma could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Monserrat throughout the match.
