When Elpidio Ursino came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Monserrat fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elpidio Ursino couldn't finish the play. If Cecilio Gerazan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Monserrat's Leandro Bidun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Jatsu in the 19th minute of play. Eduardo Jatsu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 23 minutes, Cecilio Gerazan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monserrat's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cecilio Gerazan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leandro Odon hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. If Cecilio Gerazan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40thth minute of the game Elpidio Ursino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Boca Juniors's Andres Berasko was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The wind increased when Elpidio Ursino made the kick off in the second half. Venancio Montrell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Boca Juniors's Eduardo Jatsu in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Monserrat's goalie prevented a goal. Venancio Sazon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Leandro Bidun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Monserrat getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Marcelino Gipuzkoa hit a great ball. 61 minutes into the match, Monserrat's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Jatsu came free, but Leandro Bidun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st match minute, Boca Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inocencio Sesuldo to maneuver through the defense. If Elpidio Ursino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 64 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Andres Berasko had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cecilio Gerazan. Ciro Enmanuel charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ciro Enmanuel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Boca Juniors fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 66th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Andres Berasko, was totally fooled by Monserrat's Marco Ostots, who 68 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After 71 played minutes Boca Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Jatsu. Andres Berasko stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elpidio Ursino's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. A collision led to Boca Juniors getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Inocencio Sesuldo hit a great ball. After 78 played minutes Boca Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Leandro Odon. The audience was convinced that Elpidio Ursino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andres Berasko was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. In the 80th minute, Leandro Odon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 84 minutes into the match, Cecilio Gerazan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Andres Berasko. Boca Juniors's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cecilio Gerazan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Andres Berasko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elpidio Ursino in the 88th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the game, Leandro Odon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Boca Juniors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Monserrat the free kick. In the 89th match minute, Boca Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leandro Odon to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Boca Juniors booed when Monserrat was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelino Gipuzkoa didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Monserrat supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Monserrat would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
