In the 70thth minute of the game Aquiles Luzea who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chukenze FC's Victorino Corderun was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Chukenze FC's goalkeeper Victorino Corderun, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Aquiles Luzea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 85 minutes into the match, Aquiles Luzea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Victorino Corderun. Chukenze FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aquiles Luzea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Victorino Corderun stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aquiles Luzea's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Aquiles Luzea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victorino Corderun having to interfere. After 97 played minutes Chukenze FC got a freekick which was hit by Casimiro Calixto. After a defensive mix-up in Chukenze FC's zone, Aquiles Luzea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victorino Corderun came out of the goal and Aquiles Luzea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Progresso's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
