Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Progresso's Aquiles Luzea started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aquiles Luzea in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernardino Tallia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jorge Mino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolando Uzuri in the 7th minute of play. Jorge Mino made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Marcelo Marques sent off a good shot on target. Angel Manilan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Jorge Mino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 11 minutes into the game, Unquillo's Marcelo Marques nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jorge Mino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The supporters of Unquillo booed when Progresso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pablo Quinto didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angel Manilan in the 21st minute of play forced Progresso's goalkeeper Jorge Mino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 26 minutes into the game, Gervasio Miliano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Jorge Mino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 30th minute, Rolando Uzuri left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Unquillo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. With a little luck, Progresso's Jorge Mino got control of the ball when Gervasio Miliano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Progresso's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Gervasio Miliano 43 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 4-0. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Angel Manilan took a quick shot and it went in 5-0 without a chance for Jorge Mino to make any attempt to save it. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Angel Manilan was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Angel Manilan notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Progresso's Jorge Mino. Jorge Mino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 63 minutes of play, Progresso's Angelino Orlin made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bernardino Tallia was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 71 played minutes Progresso got a freekick which was hit by Baldomero Ederono. In the 83rd minute Marcelo Marques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Mino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 85 minutes into the game, Gervasio Miliano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-1. Jorge Mino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rolando Uzuri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Mino having to interfere. The supporters of Unquillo booed when Progresso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauricio Abeita didn't get a good kick on the ball. 95 minutes into the match, Progresso's goal looked a bit too open when Angel Manilan came free, but Jorge Mino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Unquillo fans cheered their team off the field, for while Progresso had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
