Anguilan's Tobias Txaran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alejo Sandalio in the 43rd minute of play. The supporters of Peguahó booed when Anguilan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luciano Breckenfeld didn't get a good kick on the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Fabio Bergomi notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Peguahó's Delmiro Etxahun. Delmiro Etxahun was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alejo Sandalio to make the kick off. Fabio Bergomi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Delmiro Etxahun made a huge save. In the 94th minute, Ariel Abancens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Anguilan players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
