When Marco Rafel fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Comechingones's protests and gave Marco Rafel a yellow card for diving instead. In the 25th minute, Marco Rafel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Higinio Ledesma couldn't finish the play. Anguilan AFC's Higinio Ledesma was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 47th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal.

Ismael Dunixi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Higinio Ledesma's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Hermengildo Feo struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Higinio Ledesma was slow to take the kick. During this time Anguilan AFC's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Lázaro Gotzon heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Anguilan AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Honorato Romano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ismael Dunixi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 83rd minute of the match Comechingones got a corner. Anguilan AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fausto Ado ran over to the corner to take the kick. Lázaro Gotzon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ismael Dunixi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Antonio Nevada charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee gave Anguilan AFC a penalty, 99 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Higinio Ledesma, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Comechingones's Ismael Dunixi. 5-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Anguilan AFC fully deserved thier win.
