Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Independiente Mza's Gogo Oliverio started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Antonio Gelacio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Everardo Frisco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Columbo in the 5th minute of play forced Zapallar's goalkeeper Everardo Frisco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zapallar's Cristian Grabiel got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Cesar Jerico came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Zapallar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cesar Jerico couldn't finish the play. Santo Ovando's late challenge caught a Zapallar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Santo Ovando helped the player get up and apologised. Santo Ovando hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. David Romero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Dráuzio Marques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Independiente Mza's Dráuzio Marques got control of the ball when Ramon Birila tried to sneak it across the goal line. Independiente Mza's Dráuzio Marques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesar Jerico in the 22nd minute of play. Dráuzio Marques made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Ramon Birila sent off a good shot on target. David Romero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abel Gonza charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abel Gonza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Independiente Mza fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 31st minute. Penalty! Everardo Frisco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Columbo in the 37th minute of the match. Cesar Jerico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Dráuzio Marques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. During the 45th minute of the match Abel Gonza completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Abel Gonza a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 46th minute, Abel Gonza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

If Cesar Jerico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cesar Jerico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Ramon Birila managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zapallar's supporters rose to their feet, but Ramon Birila was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dráuzio Marques breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cesar Jerico recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cesar Jerico struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Dráuzio Marques didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zapallar. Cristian Grabiel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ramon Birila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zapallar's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ramon Birila in the 77th minute. Gogo Oliverio thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Dráuzio Marques, a very annoying self made goal in the 78th minute which led to 3-0. After a rather tough play, Zapallar's Cristian Grabiel got a free kick in the 82nd minute. After 84 played minutes Zapallar got a freekick which was hit by Cesar Jerico. 87 minutes into the game, Abelardo George was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zapallar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Independiente Mza the free kick. Abelardo George kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. With a little luck, Zapallar's Everardo Frisco got control of the ball when Antonio Gelacio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dráuzio Marques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Romero in the 90th minute of play. After some careless play in the Independiente Mza defense, Ramon Birila kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dráuzio Marques. The Independiente Mza fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dráuzio Marques should have stopped the shot. Dráuzio Marques came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Zapallar's Ramon Birila. But to his dismay, Ramon Birila quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. When the referee ended the match the Zapallar players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
