Simon Rey's late challenge caught a Catúa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The Catúa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vladimiro Batista should have stopped the shot. 43 minutes into the game, Scylla A.F.C's Ruben Bemabe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcos Mero was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Catúa's zone, Ruben Bemabe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vladimiro Batista came out of the goal and Ruben Bemabe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Scylla A.F.C played a much better game than Catúa and deserved their victory. The Catúa players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
