Jeronimo Emesto came out of the goal and Evripidis Papadimitriou tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ruperto Montes's late challenge caught a Báez's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ruperto Montes helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Báez booed when Palmarcito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruperto Montes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Verner Klemensson in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Palmarcito's Agustin Lehior shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 29th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Beccan Sheridan but with some difficulty. Beccan Sheridan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Froilan Dunixi in the 32nd minute of play. Froilan Dunixi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jeronimo Emesto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Verner Klemensson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute, Evripidis Papadimitriou ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jeronimo Emesto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1.
