Santiago Mundo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alvaro Perrando read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. Pueblo Nuevo's Lucio Cristofol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prudencio Llorienzo in the 10th minute of play. Donato Txomin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Lucio Cristofol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th minute Donato Txomin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucio Cristofol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the game, Augusto Galindo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Lucio Cristofol was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Donato Txomin in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lucio Cristofol prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 22nd minute, Teodosio Berbiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Augusto Galindo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th minute Donato Txomin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucio Cristofol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Prudencio Llorienzo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucio Cristofol having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Pueblo Nuevo's Teodosio Berbiz got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Santiago Mundo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Santiago Mundo to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes of play Córdoba City FC's Prudencio Llorienzo was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Prudencio Llorienzo hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Pueblo Nuevo's Godofredo Dacio got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 57th minute of the game. One of Córdoba City FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Pueblo Nuevo:s goal. During the 65th minute of the match Generoso Filipo completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Generoso Filipo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Alvaro Perrando made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Erubiel Mede sent off a good shot on target. After 74 minutes, Alfredo Chaime mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Córdoba City FC and the Pueblo Nuevo players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 74th minute, Alfredo Chaime hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guido Dabi missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 93 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Lucio Cristofol right hand side. Córdoba City FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
