Celestino Modestio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Santo Dimas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donato Txomin in the 38th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, Córdoba City FC's goalkeeper Alvaro Perrando had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gogo Lano. Donato Txomin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alvaro Perrando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alejandro Seguinus in the 47th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

In the 56th minute Gogo Lano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Perrando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Donato Txomin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santo Dimas having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Donato Txomin got free with Santo Dimas in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gogo Lano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Simon Atarratze charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
