With an all-out effort, Zárate FC's Benedicto Acosta threw himself towards the right post 6 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gogo Pelayo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Benedicto Acosta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Froilan Hustaz in the 8th minute of the match. Benedicto Acosta didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 11th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. In the 15th minute, Robustiano Beila hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Aquiles Miliano took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Benedicto Acosta to make any attempt to save it. 21 minutes into the match, Mariano Moreno's goal looked a bit too open when Gogo Pelayo came free, but Benedicto Acosta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benedicto Acosta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gogo Pelayo, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aquiles Miliano got free with Benedicto Acosta in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mariano Moreno's goalkeeper Benedicto Acosta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ambrosio Toro might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Flavio Garcia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ambrosio Toro ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Zárate FC booed when Mariano Moreno was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelio Urko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mariano Moreno's Benedicto Acosta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Mariano Moreno from getting a goal against them. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gogo Pelayo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Froilan Hustaz charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Froilan Hustaz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 52nd match minute, Zárate FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Froilan Hustaz to maneuver through the defense. In the 58th minute, Ambrosio Toro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Flavio Garcia. The goal made the score 3-1. In the 82nd minute Froilan Hustaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedicto Acosta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Zárate FC had played much better football throughout.
