Teo Hitzeder struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Ciriaco Evarado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fernández AFC. In the 37th minute, Edelmiro Ascencio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Isaias Turi got free with Anacleto Bermudo in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jose Eder made a kick off. Teo Hitzeder might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ciriaco Evarado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Teo Hitzeder ran back to his position shaking his head. 54 minutes into the game, Melquiades Eguerdi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fernández AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave los pitagoricos the free kick. After 54 played minutes Fernández AFC got a freekick which was hit by Melquiades Eguerdi. When Isaias Turi came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the los pitagoricos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isaias Turi couldn't finish the play. Alejo Pero kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ezequiel Reno in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anacleto Bermudo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 78th minute Jose Eder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciriaco Evarado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jose Eder in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ciriaco Evarado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 84th minute, Teo Hitzeder fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ciriaco Evarado, passed just outside the right post. los pitagoricos's Isaias Turi got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Jose Eder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. los pitagoricos walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
