The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emanuel Abar during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Fernández AFC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Emanuel Abar hit a great ball. Teo Hitzeder who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 13thth minute tested the skills of Efthimis Karkavilas when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Camilo Ospin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Efthimis Karkavilas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Eder in the 18th minute of play. Teo Hitzeder came free with the goalkeeper in the 19th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Efthimis Karkavilas could save by the left post. Anacleto Bermudo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Camilo Ospin in the 21st minute of the match. Alejo Pero kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Ignacio Etxepare managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boca Juniors's supporters rose to their feet, but Ignacio Etxepare was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anacleto Bermudo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 27 played minutes Fernández AFC got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Firman. Nicasio Eduino scored 0-1 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anacleto Bermudo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 33rd minute Ignacio Etxepare shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anacleto Bermudo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the game, Octavio Dalmu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fernández AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Boca Juniors the free kick. The supporters of Boca Juniors booed when Fernández AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Octavio Dalmu didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Camilo Ospin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Fernández AFC's zone, Nicasio Eduino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anacleto Bermudo came out of the goal and Nicasio Eduino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 43rd minute, Ignacio Etxepare left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Boca Juniors fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ignacio Etxepare stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fernández AFC's Anacleto Bermudo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eulalio Valiente in the 52nd minute of play. If Jose Eder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Fernández AFC booed when Boca Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mario Figueroa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute of the match Hermengildo Valentine sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Efthimis Karkavilas skillfully saved the ball. In the 69th match minute, Boca Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silverio Rudolfo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpected shot in the 76th minute by Ignacio Etxepare got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teo Hitzeder in the 78th minute of play forced Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Efthimis Karkavilas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Fernández AFC's goalkeeper Anacleto Bermudo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ignacio Etxepare. Anacleto Bermudo made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Ignacio Etxepare sent off a good shot on target. Anacleto Bermudo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ignacio Etxepare in the 94th minute. In the 95th match minute, Fernández AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teo Hitzeder to maneuver through the defense.
