The referee ignored Bilardistas del Bidón's protests and gave Leandro Olayo a yellow card for diving instead. After 55 played minutes Bilardistas del Bidón got a freekick which was hit by Leandro Olayo. When Ignacio Etxepare got free in front of the goal in the 57th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Ainārs Pelnis was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. But to his dismay, Ignacio Etxepare quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 75th match minute, Bilardistas del Bidón was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luciano Steven to maneuver through the defense. Ainārs Pelnis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eulalio Valiente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bilardistas del Bidón made a substitution. Eusebiu Achim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Efthimis Karkavilas having to interfere. In the 95th minute Braulio Turi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Efthimis Karkavilas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over Boca Juniors could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Bilardistas del Bidón throughout the match.
