After 4 played minutes Vendetta FC got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Laurgain. Rodolfo Dolfo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cayetano Bidari, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. 6 minutes into the game, Donato Senio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Covadonga's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vendetta FC the free kick. Donato Senio hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. 10 minutes into the game, Covadonga's Guaberto Sazon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rodolfo Dolfo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Rodolfo Dolfo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guaberto Sazon in the 13th minute of the match. Diego Berto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zeledon Jusepe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Alfredo Estebe made a huge save. With an all-out effort, Vendetta FC's Alfredo Estebe threw himself towards the right post 18 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Feliciano Elequemedo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The supporters of Covadonga booed when Vendetta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zeledon Jusepe didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Carolo Johans sped through Vendetta FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rodolfo Dolfo. After 27 played minutes Vendetta FC got a freekick which was hit by Zeledon Jusepe. In the 28th minute of the match Cayetano Bidari shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rodolfo Dolfo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A throw-in in the 33rd minute of the game was made by Aquiles Ceandro with Diego Berto as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 34th minute, Guaberto Sazon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rodolfo Dolfo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Rodolfo Dolfo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cayetano Bidari in the 40th minute of play. A collision led to Vendetta FC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Feliciano Elequemedo hit a great ball. The Vendetta FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Covadonga were winning 0-3.

In the 52nd minute Diego Berto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Estebe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Berto in the 54th minute of play forced Covadonga's goalkeeper Alfredo Estebe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 65 minutes into the game, Diego Berto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Alfredo Estebe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Diego Berto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diego Berto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Alfredo Estebe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Guaberto Sazon made a precise shot to the right of Rodolfo Dolfo. Vendetta FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-4. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Diego Berto in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfredo Estebe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Vendetta FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Covadonga's performance. The match ended with a win for Covadonga.
