In the 3rdth minute of the game Guaberto Sazon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but TransGirl's Alessio Flamini was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the TransGirl defense, Guaberto Sazon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alessio Flamini. The TransGirl fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alessio Flamini should have stopped the shot. Alessio Flamini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guaberto Sazon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. TransGirl's Melchor Cordarius got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Covadonga's Alfredo Estebe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melchor Cordarius in the 19th minute of play. Basilio Frances sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Covadonga's Cayetano Bidari got a free kick in the 32nd minute. TransGirl's Alessio Flamini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carolo Johans in the 35th minute of play. In the 37th minute Carolo Johans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alessio Flamini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Carlos Atarrabi managed to get in a good position for a shot. TransGirl's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Atarrabi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfredo Estebe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 46th minute Carolo Johans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alessio Flamini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to TransGirl getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Desiderio Celino hit a great ball. Cayetano Bidari took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alessio Flamini. TransGirl's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carolo Johans was the one to do the kick off. With his leg Alessio Flamini managed to avoid a goal in the 53rdth minute, when Covadonga's Guaberto Sazon fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guaberto Sazon got free with Alessio Flamini in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 56 minutes of play, Covadonga's Guaberto Sazon made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alessio Flamini was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, TransGirl's Alessio Flamini got control of the ball when Guaberto Sazon tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 61st match minute, Covadonga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celestino Tabor to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Covadonga defense, Basilio Frances kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alfredo Estebe. The Covadonga fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alfredo Estebe should have stopped the shot. After 69 played minutes TransGirl got a freekick which was hit by Melchor Cordarius. In the 70th minute, Covadonga's Carolo Johans ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alessio Flamini. Alessio Flamini yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. 75 minutes into the match, Covadonga's goal looked a bit too open when Basilio Frances came free, but Alfredo Estebe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eleuterio Santos in the 88th minute of play forced Covadonga's goalkeeper Alfredo Estebe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alessio Flamini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carolo Johans in the 90th minute of play. After 91 played minutes Covadonga got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Mazuste. Alessio Flamini was a little too slow when Carolo Johans got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 97th minute. The score was now 1-5. The Covadonga supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Covadonga would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
