In the 4th minute of the match, Eugenio Barrionuevo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Denis Belmiro was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Denis Belmiro was a little too slow when Eugenio Barrionuevo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 12th minute. The score was now 1-0. Denis Belmiro made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Eugenio Barrionuevo sent off a good shot on target. In the 19th minute Leonides Arano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Constantino Beremundo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Rio de la Plata FC's goalkeeper Denis Belmiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jonatan Aurken. In the 23rd minute of the match Cleto Rexino sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Constantino Beremundo skillfully saved the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as new villa's Benigno Gaskon slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Denis Belmiro. That made the score 2-0 after 25 minutes of play. 28 minutes into the game, Jonatan Aurken was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. new villa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rio de la Plata FC the free kick. The audience was convinced that Leonides Arano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Constantino Beremundo was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. In the 33rd minute Benjamin Henrico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denis Belmiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Rio de la Plata FC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Carlos Urdin hit a great ball. Marcelo Asier scored 2-1 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Constantino Beremundo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Benigno Gaskons short, quick shot in the 41stth minute got Denis Belmiro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Benigno Gaskon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Constantino Beremundo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Urdin in the 45th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Anibal Tino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rio de la Plata FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Anibal Tino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Constantino Beremundo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. new villa's Constantino Beremundo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Urdin in the 47th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leonides Arano to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Amador Ederono hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Denis Belmiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gregorio Weather in the 54th minute of play. Constantino Beremundo acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 59th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Cleto Rexino. After having played for 61 minutes, Eugenio Barrionuevo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. new villa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eugenio Barrionuevo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Constantino Beremundo made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Anibal Tino sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of new villa booed when Rio de la Plata FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cleto Rexino didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugenio Barrionuevo in the 71st minute of play forced Rio de la Plata FC's goalkeeper Denis Belmiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute, Benjamin Henrico left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The new villa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugenio Barrionuevo in the 78th minute of play forced Rio de la Plata FC's goalkeeper Denis Belmiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Denis Belmiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugenio Barrionuevo in the 80th minute of play. Denis Belmiro came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by new villa's Jonatan Aurken. But to his dismay, Jonatan Aurken quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. In the 85th minute, Rio de la Plata FC's Leonides Arano dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-2. After some careless play in the Rio de la Plata FC defense, Benjamin Henrico kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Denis Belmiro. The Rio de la Plata FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Denis Belmiro should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Henrico in the 94th minute of play forced Rio de la Plata FC's goalkeeper Denis Belmiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 97th minute, Gregorio Weather made a precise shot to the right of Denis Belmiro. Rio de la Plata FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-2. new villa walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
