The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Dolores booed when Real Suciedad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonatan Gora didn't get a good kick on the ball. Celal Sönmezalp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pascual Honrio in the 9th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Dolores's Amado Rudolfo got a free kick in the 13th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Dolores's goal looked a bit too open when Valentin Txindoki came free, but Celal Sönmezalp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Celal Sönmezalp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pascual Honrio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pascual Honrio struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Celal Sönmezalp didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Suciedad. After 24 minutes of play, Real Suciedad's Pascual Honrio made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Celal Sönmezalp was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 28th minute, Ovidio Sidro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Celal Sönmezalp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valentin Txindoki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the match, Pascual Honrio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Celal Sönmezalp. Dolores's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pascual Honrio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Cayetano Pepillo charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cayetano Pepillo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Dolores getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Cayetano Pepillo hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Dolores defense, Pascual Honrio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Celal Sönmezalp. The Dolores fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Celal Sönmezalp should have stopped the shot. After the first half Real Suciedad were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Pascual Honrio made the kick off in the second half. Lucio Checa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amado Rudolfo in the 52nd minute of the match. Lucio Checa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Ostargi, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by Real Suciedad's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Wilfredo Admon was slow to take the kick. During this time Dolores's players had a chance to rest. When the match was over Real Suciedad could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Dolores throughout the match.
