Aquilino Bonadona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aquilino Bonadona took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Omero. Julio Omero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Julio Omero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aquilino Bonadona in the 22nd minute of play. Esteban Estevez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Celestino Ugaitz took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Ramiro Ongile to make any attempt to save it. Aquilino Bonadona kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Norberto Juvenal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind LIMA FC's goalkeeper Julio Omero, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the LIMA FC defense, Aquilino Bonadona kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Omero. The LIMA FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Omero should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celestino Ugaitz in the 44th minute of play forced Ánimas FC's goalkeeper Ramiro Ongile to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aquilino Bonadona to make the kick off.
