After 7 played minutes Cedro got a freekick which was hit by Gaspar Uxio. 8 minutes into the game, Mario Quin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Cristo Llanos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Felipe Eufemio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Cristo Llanos made a huge save. Gilbert's Miguel Gauargi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodoro Chale in the 13th minute of play. In the 15th match minute, Cedro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Justo Inautzi to maneuver through the defense. Cirilo Salomone's late challenge caught a Gilbert's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Teodoro Chale managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cedro's supporters rose to their feet, but Teodoro Chale was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miguel Gauargi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Miguel Gauargi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodoro Chale in the 31st minute of the match. 35 minutes into the match, Gilbert's goal looked a bit too open when Cirilo Bernat came free, but Miguel Gauargi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teodoro Chale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Gauargi having to interfere. Gabriel Quintun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute, Cirilo Bernat got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Teodoro Chale who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 86thth minute tested the skills of Miguel Gauargi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Cirilo Bernat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Gauargi having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Gilbert's zone, Cirilo Bernat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Miguel Gauargi came out of the goal and Cirilo Bernat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Teodoro Chale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Many of Cedro's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Cedro may have spent more time on the ball, but Gilbert were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
