The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Generoso Abechuco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artemio Matia having to interfere. With a little luck, Intercontinental Series's Artemio Matia got control of the ball when Generoso Abechuco tried to sneak it across the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Pascual Hitzeder dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Artemio Matia, 1-0. Saturnino Chabier's late challenge caught a Intercontinental Series's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Saturnino Chabier helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to San Loresta Futbol Club getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Ciriaco Confesor hit a great ball. Intercontinental Series's Artemio Matia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pascual Hitzeder in the 35th minute of play. During the 41st minute of the match Saturnino Chabier completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Saturnino Chabier a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 41 played minutes San Loresta Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Saturnino Chabier. In the 46th minute Patricio Gonzalez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justo Asteri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ciriaco Farias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Artemio Matia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Generoso Abechuco in the 83rd minute of play.
