The referee gave San Lorenzo de Almagro a penalty, 6 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Orlando Vito, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Valar Morghulis's Jorge Norino. 1-0. In the 10th minute, Isaias Mincho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 11 minutes, Cleto Grabiel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Valar Morghulis and the San Lorenzo de Almagro players grew even worse after the yellow card. Matias Galoer came out of the goal and Hipolito Romano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 94 minutes, Santos Acevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valar Morghulis's supporters crossed their fingers, but Santos Acevedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Anacleto Torres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. San Lorenzo de Almagro were victorious despite being under pressure from Valar Morghulis for much of the match.
