Jaime Frutos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ivan Dolfo in the 18th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Horacio Cayo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nicanor Bilbo. Az-Cerezo Osaka's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Horacio Cayo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastian Hurko got free with Jaime Frutos in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 35th minute Beto Alonso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Frutos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th minute of the match, Sebastian Hurko got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jaime Frutos was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Jaime Frutos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beto Alonso in the 39th minute of the match. In the 40th match minute, Uranga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horacio Cayo to maneuver through the defense. Ivan Dolfo came free with the goalkeeper in the 44th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jaime Frutos could save by the left post. 45 minutes into the match, Sebastian Hurko had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jaime Frutos. Uranga's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sebastian Hurko was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Uriel Rio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Az-Cerezo Osaka's Beto Alonso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jaime Frutos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. If Gualterio Ireno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. Uranga's Jaime Frutos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gualterio Ireno in the 59th minute of play. Jaime Frutos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Uriel Rio in the 60th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Uranga's Israel Martxel got a free kick in the 63rd minute. 69 minutes into the game, Uriel Rio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-1. Jaime Frutos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vicente Lano's late challenge caught a Uranga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vicente Lano helped the player get up and apologised. After 72 played minutes Az-Cerezo Osaka got a freekick which was hit by Vicente Lano. In the 76thth minute of the game Uriel Rio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uranga's Jaime Frutos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jaime Frutos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beto Alonso in the 77th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the game, Evaristo Etxepare was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Az-Cerezo Osaka's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Uranga the free kick. A collision led to Az-Cerezo Osaka getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Evaristo Etxepare hit a great ball. Gilberto Karlo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicanor Bilbo having to interfere. After having played for 83 minutes, Anier Basualdo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uranga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anier Basualdo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Horacio Cayo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Nicanor Bilbo made a huge save. Evaristo Etxepare kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. 87 minutes into the match, Uriel Rio notched a goal, 8-1, to the right of Uranga's Jaime Frutos. Jaime Frutos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 90 minutes into the match, Uranga's goal looked a bit too open when Beto Alonso came free, but Jaime Frutos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Uriel Rio scored 9-1 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jaime Frutos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nicanor Bilbo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anier Basualdo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Az-Cerezo Osaka fully deserved thier win.
