The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Uriel Rio to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Beto Alonso in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Severiano Escobar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Az-Cerezo Osaka booed when San Lorenzo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvestre Arnas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Uriel Rio's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Severiano Escobar firmly grabbed it by the left post. Uriel Rio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 82ndth minute tested the skills of Severiano Escobar when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Severiano Escobar stood somewhat misplaced when Uriel Rio came free in front of goal and shot 1-5 to the left of him in the 84 minute.
