Rigoberto Fiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beto Alonso in the 6th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Metal Fútbol Club's zone, Vicente Lano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rigoberto Fiz came out of the goal and Vicente Lano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Az-Cerezo Osaka's Sebastian Hurko in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Metal Fútbol Club's goalie prevented a goal. In the 13th minute, Sebastian Hurko made a precise shot to the right of Rigoberto Fiz. Metal Fútbol Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Beto Alonso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rigoberto Fiz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sebastian Hurko's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Sebastian Hurko sped through Metal Fútbol Club's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rigoberto Fiz. Nicanor Bilbo made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Mauricio Frederico sent off a good shot on target. In the 23rd match minute, Az-Cerezo Osaka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Siro Lazcano to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Metal Fútbol Club defense, Beto Alonso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rigoberto Fiz. The Metal Fútbol Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rigoberto Fiz should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Metal Fútbol Club's Mauricio Frederico got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Mauricio Frederico hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. 0-5 became the score in the 39th minute when Sebastian Hurko elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Eustaquio Lixandro scored 1-5 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nicanor Bilbo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

In the last second Rigoberto Fiz throw himself and got hold of the ball when Beto Alonso in the 56thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Metal Fútbol Club's Rigoberto Fiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beto Alonso in the 61st minute of play. After 65 minutes, Uriel Rio made it 1-7 with a short kick to the right side. Metal Fútbol Club's Rigoberto Fiz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Eustaquio Lixandro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Beto Alonso in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rigoberto Fiz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lino Corderun lost his temper 78 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 78th minute of the game. One of Metal Fútbol Club:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Az-Cerezo Osaka:s goal. Rigoberto Fiz had in the 80thth minute some difficulties stopping Denis Nesor's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Ubaldo Raymon's late challenge caught a Az-Cerezo Osaka's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ubaldo Raymon helped the player get up and apologised. Rigoberto Fiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beto Alonso in the 83rd minute of the match. When Evaristo Montrel fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Metal Fútbol Club's protests and gave Evaristo Montrel a yellow card for diving instead. After 84 played minutes Metal Fútbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Evaristo Montrel. After 88 played minutes Metal Fútbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Mauricio Frederico. In the 89th minute of the match Gualterio Ireno shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rigoberto Fiz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Az-Cerezo Osaka's Beto Alonso slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rigoberto Fiz. That made the score 1-9 after 90 minutes of play. Beto Alonso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rigoberto Fiz having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Metal Fútbol Club's Ubaldo Raymon got a free kick in the 95th minute. Mauricio Frederico's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nicanor Bilbo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 100th minute of play. Az-Cerezo Osaka played a much better game than Metal Fútbol Club and deserved their victory. The Metal Fútbol Club players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
