Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Wilfredo Nafarroa got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the game, Game Theory Optimal's Oscar Telmo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bartolo Illan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 9 minutes, Wilfredo Nafarroa made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Mazarredo FC's Bartolo Illan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Mazarredo FC's Zeledon Bartuelo got a free kick in the 12th minute. Bartolo Illan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilfredo Nafarroa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Mazarredo FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Edgard Nevada hit a great ball. Cosme Costante recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 33 minutes into the match, Oscar Telmo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bartolo Illan. Mazarredo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oscar Telmo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Bartolo Illan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wilfredo Nafarroa's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Wilfredo Nafarroa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Game Theory Optimal's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilfredo Nafarroa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bartolo Illan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 41st minute Wilfredo Nafarroa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bartolo Illan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bartolo Illan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilfredo Nafarroa in the 43rd minute of the match. When Ceferino Perrando fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Game Theory Optimal's protests and gave Ceferino Perrando a yellow card for diving instead. In the 45th minute, Ceferino Perrando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zeledon Bartuelo to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Game Theory Optimal booed when Mazarredo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zeledon Bartuelo didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wilfredo Nafarroa in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bartolo Illan saved Mazarredo FC from getting behind. Natalio Camerino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edgard Nevada went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wilfredo Nafarroa got free with Bartolo Illan in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Norberto Bautista during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Mazarredo FC's Norberto Bautista got a free kick in the 77th minute. Wilfredo Nafarroas short, quick shot in the 80thth minute got Bartolo Illan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wilfredo Nafarroa in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bartolo Illan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Laureano Jobo kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the match, Wilfredo Nafarroa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bartolo Illan. Mazarredo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wilfredo Nafarroa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-7. In the last second Bartolo Illan throw himself and got hold of the ball when Wilfredo Nafarroa in the 91stth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Wilfredo Nafarroa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 96 minutes into the game, Wilfredo Nafarroa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bartolo Illan. Wilfredo Nafarroa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-8. When the final whistle sounded Game Theory Optimal left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Mazarredo FC.
