A collision led to Avestruz AFC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Alfredo Jusepe hit a great ball. In the 45th minute, Aureliano Pasqual ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Christian Herrera was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anibal Francis to make the kick off. Leonides Rafel came out of the goal in the 50th minute to try and stop a shot by Avestruz AFC's Ceferino Valente. But to his dismay, Ceferino Valente quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. After 55 played minutes Maximo Orixe rounded Hormiguero FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-3. In the 60th minute Aureliano Pasqual shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Herrera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67th minute, Maximo Orixe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Anibal Francis might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Christian Herrera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anibal Francis ran back to his position shaking his head. Avestruz AFC's Christian Herrera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anibal Francis in the 72nd minute of play. In the 76th minute of the match Fabio Kinsen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Christian Herrera skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Avestruz AFC's Timoteo Hunfredo got a free kick in the 78th minute. If Alfredo Jusepe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th match minute, Avestruz AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timoteo Hunfredo to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute, one of Avestruz AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Avestruz AFC. Avestruz AFC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
