Christian Herrera came out of the goal and Aureliano Pasqual tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ceferino Valente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonides Rafel having to interfere. Leonides Rafel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximo Orixe, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Laureano Mannie kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. After having played for 25 minutes, Anibal Francis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hormiguero FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anibal Francis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 29th minute of the game. One of Avestruz AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Hormiguero FC:s goal. Fabio Kinsen walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Anibal Francis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hormiguero FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Anibal Francis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christian Herrera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Avestruz AFC booed when Hormiguero FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santo Gergori didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonides Rafel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximo Orixe in the 36th minute of the match. If Aureliano Pasqual had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfredo Jusepe during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 45 minutes into the match, Hormiguero FC's goal looked a bit too open when Maximo Orixe came free, but Leonides Rafel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee showed Laureano Mannie the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Leonides Rafel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Avestruz AFC. Avestruz AFC's Christian Herrera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Avestruz AFC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Avestruz AFC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Alfredo Jusepe hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Anibal Francis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Christian Herrera. That made the score 0-2 in the 72 minute of play. 78 minutes in the game, Anibal Francis fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Christian Herrera having to interfere. After 79 minutes, Ruben Criston mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Avestruz AFC and the Hormiguero FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hormiguero FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
