Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) los troncos's Saturnino Pancho started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 5th minute of the game. One of Fiambalá:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of los troncos:s goal. los troncos's Rigoberto Fernanco managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Celso Rocendo in the 11 minute of the game. Saturnino Pancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Amado Katia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 13 minutes, Mariano Montrel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fiambalá and the los troncos players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Rigoberto Fernanco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amado Katia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cleto Elazar in the 19th minute of the match. Romulo Martxot made in the 23rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Fiambalá's Maximino Abadie. A sloppy throw-in by Celso Rocendo in the 26th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by los troncos's Jairo Martinez. In the 30th minute Romulo Martxot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amado Katia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Saturnino Pancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Amado Katia was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Rigoberto Fernanco struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Amado Katia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for los troncos. Amado Katia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cleto Elazar in the 38th minute of the match. After having played for 40 minutes, Rigoberto Fernanco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. los troncos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rigoberto Fernanco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cleto Elazar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Amado Katia having to make a save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mariano Montrel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Rigoberto Fernanco came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the los troncos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rigoberto Fernanco couldn't finish the play. Fiambalá's Amado Katia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saturnino Pancho in the 57th minute of play. Saturnino Pancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amado Katia having to interfere. Amado Katia came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by los troncos's Cleto Elazar. But to his dismay, Cleto Elazar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Saturnino Pancho struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Amado Katia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for los troncos. Amado Katia made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Rigoberto Fernanco sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Fiambalá's zone, Rigoberto Fernanco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amado Katia came out of the goal and Rigoberto Fernanco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rigoberto Fernanco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Rigoberto Fernanco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saturnino Pancho hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. 95 minutes into the match, Fiambalá's goal looked a bit too open when Saturnino Pancho came free, but Amado Katia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle sounded los troncos left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Fiambalá.
