Fiambalá's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Rojo de Mardel the free kick. In the 31st minute, Amado Sidro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hilário Benevides took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Amado Katia. Amado Katia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Prospero Tancredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amado Katia having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mariano Montrel to strike the kick off in the second half. Amado Katia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Prospero Tancredo went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 59th minute, Hilário Benevides hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Alejandro Berriotxoa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to El Rojo de Mardel getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Hilário Benevides hit a great ball. Mariano Montrel's late challenge caught a El Rojo de Mardel's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mariano Montrel helped the player get up and apologised. In the 79th match minute, Fiambalá was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mariano Montrel to maneuver through the defense. 81 minutes into the game, El Rojo de Mardel's Amado Sidro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Amado Katia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. If Alejandro Berriotxoa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. Fiambalá's Amado Katia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amado Sidro in the 87th minute of play. When Albano Lluc fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Rojo de Mardel's protests and gave Albano Lluc a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, El Rojo de Mardel's Albano Lluc got a free kick in the 90th minute. In the 93rd minute Amado Sidro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amado Katia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Fiambalá's Carlos Reyes got a free kick in the 94th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The El Rojo de Mardel fans cheered their team off the field, for while Fiambalá had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
