After 43 minutes, Teodosio Sergi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Massao Arena and the Tambillos players grew even worse after the yellow card. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute, Cristian Arotza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Tambillos's zone, Cristian Arotza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anacleto Mergildo came out of the goal and Cristian Arotza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Arotza got free with Anacleto Mergildo in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Everardo Poz kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Anacleto Mergildo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodosio Sergi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Prudencio Weather had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruno Arixo hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. When Eustacio Manuelo came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Tambillos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eustacio Manuelo couldn't finish the play. Cristian Arotza who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Anacleto Mergildo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Massao Arena's attentive Elias Napier managed to snatch the ball when Eustacio Manuelo made a throw-in in the 90th minute of the game. 94 minutes into the game, Elvio Urtungo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Elpidio Mannie was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
