Mariano Katia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damian Carlomagno, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Mariano Katia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amador Raymond, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Justino Bidun was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 40 minutes into the match. After 42 played minutes, Tomasso FC's Leonel Ostargi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mariano Katia came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tomasso FC reached it. In the 47th match minute, Tomasso FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damian Carlomagno to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Damian Carlomagno stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 65 minutes, Santiago Florinio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cayastacito AFC and the Tomasso FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Santiago Florinio hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Andy Holm managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cayastacito AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Andy Holm was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lucio Fresco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lucio Fresco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boruc Gniech in the 69th minute of play. Cayastacito AFC's Mariano Katia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damian Carlomagno in the 75th minute of play. In the 84th minute, Raimundo Oro made a precise shot to the right of Mariano Katia. Cayastacito AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. After 90 minutes Tomasso FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Carlos Lameiras who took care of the corner kick. Cayastacito AFC's Carlos Lameiras was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Lucio Fresco in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the game's 90th minute Cayastacito AFC's Carlos Lameiras took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Lucio Fresco and thus the score was 1-5. After 95 minutes, Leonel Ostargi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tomasso FC and the Cayastacito AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 95 played minutes Tomasso FC got a freekick which was hit by Leonel Ostargi.
