The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Javier Socorro helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in River Plate fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 4th minute. Penalty! In the 6th minute there was a penalty for Tomasso FC. Leonel Ostargi stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Laureano Florian. 0-1. Raimundo Oro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laureano Florian having to interfere. After 12 played minutes River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Ovidio Silban. Amador Raymond kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Raimundo Oro hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. When Leonel Ostargi fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tomasso FC's protests and gave Leonel Ostargi a yellow card for diving instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Victor Senio got free with Lucio Fresco in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 25th match minute, Tomasso FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amador Raymond to maneuver through the defense. 33 minutes into the match, Raimundo Oro notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of River Plate's Laureano Florian. Laureano Florian was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Damian Carlomagno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lucio Fresco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernan Avellaneda, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After a rather tough play, Tomasso FC's Virgilio Cordarrol got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 45thth minute of the game Fernan Avellaneda who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tomasso FC's Lucio Fresco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Victor Senio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lucio Fresco. Tomasso FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Victor Senio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

In the 56th minute Victor Senio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucio Fresco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fernan Avellaneda in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lucio Fresco saved Tomasso FC from getting behind. If Fernan Avellaneda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to River Plate getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Aureliano Uzuri hit a great ball. 70 minutes into the match, Victor Senio notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Tomasso FC's Lucio Fresco. Lucio Fresco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raimundo Oro in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Laureano Florian saved River Plate from getting behind. Victor Senio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Lucio Fresco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Damian Carlomagno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tomasso FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Damian Carlomagno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Laureano Florian breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 85 minutes into the match, Tomasso FC's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Senio came free, but Lucio Fresco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Victor Senio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 90 minutes into the match, River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Virgilio Cordarrol came free, but Laureano Florian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 92 minutes, Victor Senio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River Plate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victor Senio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fernan Avellaneda in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lucio Fresco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
