Virgilio Cordarrol's late challenge caught a Libertad FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After 13 minutes, Amador Raymond mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tomasso FC and the Libertad FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Amador Raymond was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 40 minutes had been played. In the 44th minute of the match Libertad FC got a corner. Tomasso FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Roberto Orland ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Libertad FC's corner Roberto Orland fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Lucio Fresco quite easily take care of the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eleuterio Hats was the one to do the kick off. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
