Genna FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave River SG the free kick. After a rather tough play, Genna FC's Ciriaco Rocio got a free kick in the 10th minute. In the 12th minute, Eustacio Ongile got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 17 minutes into the match, Genna FC's Eustacio Ongile sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Justino Jaunzuria narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Eustacio Ongile had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Genna FC's Sauli Sillgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eleuterio Txatxu in the 23rd minute of play. Justino Jaunzuria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugo Chale in the 26th minute of the match. A collision led to Genna FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Eustacio Ongile hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, River SG's Clodoveo Etxahun got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 39th minute Genna FC were awarded a corner. Ciriaco Rocio went to the cornerflag to take it. Sauli Sillgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eleuterio Txatxu, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. When Uriel Abarca fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored River SG's protests and gave Uriel Abarca a yellow card for diving instead. Uriel Abarca hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ciriaco Rocio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Genna FC's Severiano Seber quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Uriel Abarca, made in the 53rd minute of the game. Genna FC's Valentin Gordunescu got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 59 minutes into the match, Genna FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eleuterio Txatxu came free, but Sauli Sillgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Genna FC's Valentin Gordunescu got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Severiano Seber charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Severiano Seber the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Severiano Seber hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. 64 minutes into the match, Eleuterio Txatxu notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Genna FC's Sauli Sillgren. Sauli Sillgren was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Justino Jaunzuria came out of the goal and Valentin Gordunescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Eustacio Ongile had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Genna FC booed when River SG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clodoveo Etxahun didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ciriaco Rocio kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. In the 95th minute, Eleuterio Txatxu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The River SG fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The River SG fans cheered their team off the field, for while Genna FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
