An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingo Chan in the 23rd minute of play forced Genna FC's goalkeeper Sauli Sillgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute, Atlético Rivadavia's Pastor Jerold ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sauli Sillgren. Sauli Sillgren yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Sauli Sillgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domingo Chan in the 33rd minute of the match. Valentin Gordunescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilario Cedro having to interfere. Genna FC's Valentin Gordunescu got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Lucas Barea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Atlético Rivadavia's goalkeeper Hilario Cedro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hilario Cedro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucas Barea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Ciriaco Rocio made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, one of Atlético Rivadavia:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Atlético Rivadavia. The referee gave Genna FC a penalty, 53 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ciriaco Rocio, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Atlético Rivadavia's Hilario Cedro. 1-1. After having played for 98 minutes, Lucas Barea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Genna FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucas Barea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match was over Genna FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Atlético Rivadavia throughout the match.
