With a little luck, Deportivo Maria's Baltasar Dominguez got control of the ball when Rolando Frasquito tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gustavo Gutxi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 14 minutes into the match, Florida's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Gutxi came free, but Julio Abalos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rolando Frasquito got free with Baltasar Dominguez in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zacarias Osmundo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Abalos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Julio Abalos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bairon Iriarte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lucas Beltrán's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Abalos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Bairon Iriarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some careless play in the Florida defense, Zacarias Osmundo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Abalos. The Florida fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Abalos should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Florida booed when Deportivo Maria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas Beltrán didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lucas Beltrán struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Julio Abalos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Maria. Gustavo Gutxi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 45 minutes, Lucas Beltrán managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Maria's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucas Beltrán was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Deportivo Maria's Lucas Beltrán got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Zacarias Osmundo made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Omar Romo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Florida's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo Maria the free kick. After a rather tough play, Florida's Omar Romo got a free kick in the 55th minute. 56 minutes in the game, Bairon Iriarte fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Julio Abalos having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zacarias Osmundo got free with Julio Abalos in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 60th minute, Gustavo Gutxi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Julio Abalos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lucas Beltrán went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Florida's Julio Abalos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Florida from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Deportivo Maria defense, Vicente Gabino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Baltasar Dominguez. The Deportivo Maria fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Baltasar Dominguez should have stopped the shot. Florida's defense didn't have a chance, in the 76th minute, when Lucas Beltrán scored to the left of an out of position Julio Abalos, making the score, 1-4. Gustavo Gutxi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Julio Abalos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vicente Gabino hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Zacarias Osmundo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Abalos having to interfere. If Gustavo Gutxi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Florida's zone, Gustavo Gutxi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Abalos came out of the goal and Gustavo Gutxi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Santiago Jordy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gustavo Gutxi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Florida's zone, Lucas Beltrán stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Abalos came out of the goal and Lucas Beltrán tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Deportivo Maria's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
