Alumbrera FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Santiago Jordy during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 16 played minutes Deportivo Maria got a freekick which was hit by Santiago Jordy. Lisandro Fero was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Salvador Rencio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bairon Iriarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lisandro Fero came out of the goal and Korneliusz Kaczanka tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 60th minute, Lucas Beltrán made a precise shot to the right of Lisandro Fero. Alumbrera FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. When Anacleto Gartzi fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alumbrera FC's protests and gave Anacleto Gartzi a yellow card for diving instead. Bairon Iriarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lisandro Fero having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Salvador Rencio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Deportivo Maria's Lucas Beltrán got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 77 minutes into the match, Bairon Iriarte had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lisandro Fero. Alumbrera FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bairon Iriarte was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. Lisandro Fero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Beltrán, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 82nd minute Deportivo Maria were awarded a corner. Eriberto Mendiko went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Deportivo Maria's Eriberto Mendiko to fire away a dangerous shot which Lisandro Fero despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Beltrán in the 93rd minute of play forced Alumbrera FC's goalkeeper Lisandro Fero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 94 minutes, Baltasar Dominguez successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When the referee ended the match the Deportivo Maria players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
