Cornelio Lorencio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hector Dominguez having to interfere. Norberto Peli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mario Urdaspal in the 20th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, El Benja Team's goal looked a bit too open when Alejandro Rodriguez came free, but Hector Dominguez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alejandro Rodriguez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Hector Dominguez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Prospero Michael's late challenge caught a Quijano FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When Teodosio Michael fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Benja Team's protests and gave Teodosio Michael a yellow card for diving instead. In the 33rd match minute, El Benja Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodosio Michael to maneuver through the defense. Quijano FC's Alejandro Rodriguez got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

Prospero Michael got his second yellow card in the match during the 56th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. 59 minutes into the game, Marcelino Gelacio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Quijano FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Benja Team the free kick. After a rather tough play, Quijano FC's Marcelino Gelacio got a free kick in the 59th minute. A hard shot by Leonel Tonete from long distance, 60 minutes into the match, got Norberto Peli's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. El Benja Team's Teodosio Michael got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Quijano FC's Alejandro Rodriguez got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Quijano FC's Aurelio Guillelme was substituted for Cornelio Lorencio. Eduardo Solustiano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 73rd minute, Aurelio Guillelme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 76th minute, Tomás Perrando ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hector Dominguez was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Aurelio Guillelme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Quijano FC's Norberto Peli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodosio Michael in the 81st minute of play. Cirilo Napier's late challenge caught a El Benja Team's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cirilo Napier helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of El Benja Team booed when Quijano FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. A sloppy throw-in by Clemente Sandaili in the 88th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Quijano FC's Cirilo Napier. If Tomás Perrando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Mario Urdaspal came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the El Benja Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mario Urdaspal couldn't finish the play.
