The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Apolo Suarez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. Cayetano Mogel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Gallardeta F.C. Gabriel Tome came free with the goalkeeper in the 22nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Cayetano Mogel could save by the left post. 27 minutes into the match, Piquete FC's Hermengildo Porfiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leopoldo Iraido narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Apolo Suarez in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leopoldo Iraido saved La Gallardeta F.C from getting behind. Santiago Senin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 35 minutes into the match, Apolo Suarez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leopoldo Iraido. La Gallardeta F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Apolo Suarez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Leopoldo Iraido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robustiano Victoro in the 40th minute of play. After 44 played minutes La Gallardeta F.C got a freekick which was hit by Enzo Belmiro. After the first half Piquete FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Maximino Orlandus made a kick off. Piquete FC's Apolo Suarez got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 55 minutes, Apolo Suarez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piquete FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Apolo Suarez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Apolo Suarez might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leopoldo Iraido. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Apolo Suarez ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Apolo Suarez in the 61st minute of play forced La Gallardeta F.C's goalkeeper Leopoldo Iraido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enzo Belmiro's late challenge caught a Piquete FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Enzo Belmiro helped the player get up and apologised. In the 62nd minute, Enzo Belmiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Piquete FC booed when La Gallardeta F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enzo Belmiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in La Gallardeta F.C's zone, Robustiano Victoro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leopoldo Iraido came out of the goal and Robustiano Victoro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Apolo Suarez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 70 played minutes La Gallardeta F.C got a freekick which was hit by Enzo Belmiro. After 71 minutes, Leonardo Laurin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Piquete FC and the La Gallardeta F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Piquete FC booed when La Gallardeta F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leo Eliazar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Apolo Suarez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Leopoldo Iraido made a huge save. Leonardo Laurin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leopoldo Iraido having to interfere.
