After a rather tough play, Moncho El Buitre's Damian Aguirre got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 41st minute Fabio Socorro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remigio Santo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the game, Racing Clib's Fabio Socorro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The wind increased when Edgardo Frantzes made the kick off in the second half. Fabio Socorros short, quick shot in the 52ndth minute got Remigio Santo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Fabio Socorro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rogelio Belasko might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Remigio Santo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rogelio Belasko ran back to his position shaking his head. If Freddy Baristo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabian Luzea during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rogelio Belasko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Moncho El Buitre's Remigio Santo got control of the ball when Fabio Socorro tried to sneak it across the goal line. During the 74th minute of the match Damian Aguirre completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Damian Aguirre a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 75th minute, Damian Aguirre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Moncho El Buitre's Remigio Santo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabio Socorro in the 76th minute of play. Fabio Socorro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Remigio Santo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Remigio Santo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Primitivo Gartxot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 89 minutes into the match, Moncho El Buitre's goalkeeper Remigio Santo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabian Luzea. In the 91st minute, Fabio Socorro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Racing Clib's Baltasar Endura was substituted for Rogelio Belasko. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabio Socorro got free with Remigio Santo in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
